Glare is light that a flat surface reflects. Light's field swings across the ray. One part swings along the surface. The other part swings in the plane of the rays.
On the rays, a dot marks the part along the surface. A tick across the ray marks the part in the plane of the rays.
Brewster's angle is one angle of incidence. There, the part in the plane of the rays does not reflect. So the glare's field lies flat along the surface.
tan θB = n₂/n₁
At Brewster's angle, the reflected and refracted rays meet at 90°. Polaroid glasses with an upright axis block such glare fully.
θB + r = 90°
For a medium that is not magnetic, the index is n = √ε. At every flat face, n sin θ keeps its value. So a plate in between cannot change the angle for good.
